Hallenbeagle Estates Ltd, developers of the Cornwall Business Park at Hallenbeagle, Scorrier are holding a public consultation exhibition of their proposals for a bio park development on the site at the Crossroads Lodge, Scorrier between 11.00am and 7.00pm on 19th January. Members of the public are invited to visit the exhibition and meet with representatives of Hallenbeagle Estates Ltd who will outline their proposals for the development of a bio park as part of the Hallenbeagle site.
The concept of the bio park proposals are to provide a fully integrated sustainable solution to the problem of the disposal and management of Cornwall’s commercial waste arisings using high technology solutions to create energy. The bio park also has the potential to accommodate Cornwall Council’s requirement for the household waste transfer and recycling facility previously proposed for a site in the centre of Scorrier for which the planning application was withdrawn in March 2009.
The bio park proposal has been the subject of a stakeholders pre-consultation workshop attended by representatives of Cornwall Council Officers and Members, Statutory Consultees and Local Parish Councils.
Hallenbeagle Estates Ltd, in consultation with Cornwall Council, are seeking to get the proposal for the bio park adopted as planning policy as part of a development brief prior to any formal planning applications being submitted.
The bio park proposal for Hallenbeagle represents a major initiative in funding a long term sustainable solution to Cornwall’s waste disposal and management problems.
New plans for a high tech Bio Park at Hallenbeagle, Redruth are to be unveiled at the Royal Cornwall Show.
All visitors are welcome to Montgomery Property Group's Stand, Number 331, from Thursday to Saturday to see the details of Cornwall Bio Park.
